UPCOMING WORKSHOP: Boundaries are all around us: identifying & understand where to draw the line
Join us for a workshop about our boundary systems, exploring various boundaries we have – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. By better understanding them, we can provide safer communities for the vulnerable people that we serve.
When: Tuesday June 28th, 2016
Time: 1:30 pm-3:30 pm
Where: Tenth Ave Church – 11 W 10th Ave (Lower East Hall)
Good boundaries are challenging to maintain, but are essential to healthy relationships in our work or volunteer roles. Have you said yes to too many things or let someone take advantage of your space, time, or even money? Besides being tiresome, these behaviours can actually hurt the individuals we care for. In this workshop we will explore how we can build supportive communities while identifying boundaries that will sustain ourselves, our volunteers, and the vulnerable individuals we journey with.
Participants will learn:
- Defining terms
- Personal boundary inventories
- Boundary Recovery
Who should attend?
Anyone that is interested in building stronger communities, particularly those working or volunteering with marginalized individuals.
